Many thanks to everyone who turned up on Saturday to help plant the free bulbs FOCM had received just before Christmas. We got 2000 bulbs in the ground and look forward to seeing them appear in the spring. The bulbs were a mixture of grape hyacinth, narcissi and ornithogalum (silver bells). We planted mostly in the main children’s playground and the path border that runs along from the Chinbrook Road entrance to the park. Glendale planted the rest, which were narcissi and snowdrops, in the borders near the Amblecote Road entrance and in the Peace garden. We are really grateful to the Metropolitan Gardens Association and Taylors Bulbs of Holbeach for the gift.
